Staffordshire's first CAA Self-Evaluation Produced
Partners across Staffordshire have come together to produce the first iteration of a self-evaluation for the partnership. The self-evaluation looks at how partners across Staffordshire are working together to meet the needs of communities and deliver outcomes for Staffordshire.
Using the Improvement and Development Agency's (IDeA) toolkit, partners produced a self-assessment in three key areas:
- How we understand local needs and translate this understanding into local priorities
- The improvements we are delivering or are well placed to deliver in the future for Staffordshire, based on our priorities as set out in a Sustainable Community Strategy for Staffordshire.
- The areas that we have identified as key focus points for us to improve on in the future, based on our priorities and improvements that are needed across Staffordshire Strategic Partnership.
The document produced was submitted to the Audit Commission in May 2009 to form part of the evidence base for Staffordshire's CAA judgement. The document can be found here:

An accompanying glossary to the self-evaluation has also been produced:

Discussions have already taken place at the CAA Task and Finish Group in May and will continue, to develop the self-evaluation process for the partnership.
The self-evaluation will be re-freshed in July 2009 to respond to feedback from the Audit Commission with a view to undertaking another complete self-evaluation next year. An Executive Summary will also be available on this website soon.
