Staffordshire Strategic Partnership
About the Staffordshire Strategic Partnership
The Staffordshire Strategic Partnership (SSP) is the county Local Strategic Partnership (LSP). It provides a framework for all agencies, sectors and partners to work collectively to promote the economic, social and environmental well being of the County.
The SSP has three main roles:
- To develop a long term vision for Staffordshire;
- To provide a forum to explore and discuss new issues and to recommend ways of tackling them in the partnership environment;
- To develop the Sustainable Community Strategy for the County.
Mr Philip Atkins (County Councillor - Leader of Staffordshire County Council) chairs the SSP, while Christina Webb is the dedicated SSP Manager. Christina manages the day to day business of the SSP, as well organising the SSP Events and leading the development of the Sustainable Community Strategy for Staffordshire.
SSP Events
The SSP meets throughout the year to discuss amongst other things the Local Area Agreement and Sustainable Community Strategy.
The Sustainable Community Strategy for Staffordshire 2008-23 and Staffordshire LAA 2008-11 were officially launched at a successful Partnership event on Friday 14th November 2008 at Staffordshire University. The event was a celebration of successful partnership working at the local level which is making a real difference to the lives of people in Staffordshire, turning the strategic vision and priorities into reality.
