Index of Child Well-Being 2009

Index of Child Well-Being 2009 (ICWB)

The ICWB 2009 represents the first attempt to create a small area index exclusively for children. The ICWB 2009 is produced at lower super output area and is made up of seven different domains. By combining a number of indicators covering a range of economic, social and housing issues, into a single well-being score, each area can be ranked relative to one another according to their level of child well-being.

Staffordshire Observatory has produced two types of reports analysing the Index of Child Well-Being.

A report has been produced with a detailed analysis of the ICWB for the whole of Staffordshire County.

Separate reports have also been produced for each District including individual scorecards:

These cards attempt to summarise, on one piece of paper, all information from the ICWB 2009 for the area covered by one district. There is one summary card for each district in Staffordshire. Ideally, these summary cards should be printed A3 colour and folded into an A4 booklet.
