LAA Performance Monitoring
Staffordshire Observatory co-ordinates the performance monitoring of partner performance indicators in the Staffordshire LAA. It is directly responsible for collating information including the relevant risk assessments for all partner performance indicators (excluding any that fall under the Children and Young People Plan). All LAA performance indicators led by the County Council are coordinated by the relevant County Council performance leads.

Community Safety Performance Monitoring
The Observatory provides regular updates against the National Public Service Agreement (PSA 1) on crime reduction. This work is currently being reviewed with the intention of expending this performance monitoring to cover all aspects of the Safer and Stronger Communities block of the LAA.

Support for Staffordshire Destination Management Partnership (DMP)
The Observatory will support the ongoing tourism research needs of the Staffordshire Destination Management Partnership, in particular working towards the four identified key performance indicators of:
- Accommodation occupancy;
- Employment in tourism;
- Investment in tourism;
- Customer satisfaction.

Community Engagement and Consultation
This is an area of work currently in development. The Observatory will have a key role in providing support for the design, analysis and presentation of data from consultation. This will take account of recent developments such as the publication of the National Indicator Set and increased emphasis on perceptions.
