Our County, Our Vision -
A Sustainable Community Strategy for Staffordshire
All local authorities have a statutory duty to produce a Sustainable Community Strategy. The strategy should set out the long term vision for an area.
Partners across Staffordshire have come together to produce our sustainable community strategy - 'Our County, Our Vision'. It sets out our fifteen year vision for Staffordshire; it tells the story of where we have come from; where we are and where we want to be. It also expresses our priorities for Staffordshire and identifies the issues we will need to address to improve the quality of life of our people and to contribute to the sustainable development of Staffordshire.
Our Vision
'It is our fifteen year vision to improve the quality of life for all our people, by increasing economic prosperity, improving local services, and developing partnership working'
Our Priorities
We will only achieve our vision by working together to achieve four overarching priorities:
We will not achieve our vision if we only achieve three of the four priorities - the priorities are all pieces of the same jigsaw, without one of them, the jigsaw (or our vision) will be incomplete.
The Strategy
Our County, Our Vision was formally launched at the SSP Event in Autumn 2008. A copy of the strategy is available to download:

We Wanted to Know What You Think
The opinion of our communities is important to us and important to the future of Staffordshire, so we asked what changes people would like to see throughout the county. The results have been captured in the following document:
Our Community Plan
Our Sustainable Community Strategy will help partners to work together to make these changes happen.
